Surah Al-Qiyamah - 1-40

75:4

بَلَىٰ

قَٰدِرِينَ

عَلَىٰٓ

أَن

نُّسَوِّيَ

بَنَانَهُۥ

Yes ˹indeed˺! We are ˹most˺ capable of restoring ˹even˺ their very fingertips.¹

75:5

بَلۡ

يُرِيدُ

ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ

لِيَفۡجُرَ

أَمَامَهُۥ

Still people want to deny what is yet to come,

75:6

يَسۡـَٔلُ

أَيَّانَ

يَوۡمُ

ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ

asking ˹mockingly˺, “When is this Day of Judgment?”

75:7

فَإِذَا

بَرِقَ

ٱلۡبَصَرُ

But when the sight is stunned,

75:8

وَخَسَفَ

ٱلۡقَمَرُ

and the moon is dimmed,

75:9

وَجُمِعَ

ٱلشَّمۡسُ

وَٱلۡقَمَرُ

and the sun and the moon are brought together,¹

75:10

يَقُولُ

ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ

يَوۡمَئِذٍ

أَيۡنَ

ٱلۡمَفَرُّ

١٠

on that Day one will cry, “Where is the escape?”

75:11

كـَلَّا

لَا

وَزَرَ

١١

But no! There will be no refuge.

75:12

إِلَىٰ

رَبِّكَ

يَوۡمَئِذٍ

ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ

١٢

On that Day all will end up before your Lord.

75:13

يُنَبَّؤُاْ

ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ

يَوۡمَئِذِۭ

بِمَا

قَدَّمَ

وَأَخَّرَ

١٣

All will then be informed of what they have sent forth and left behind.
